Objective of this post:
Welcome to the RCSI Graduate School of Healthcare Management. As part of a dedicated health sciences university, we provide management and leadership research, education and training to health professionals around the world.
As Ireland’s only third level institution exclusively focused on developing the leadership and management competencies of health professionals, the School has grown rapidly, with over 1,000 students currently registered on postgraduate programmes in leadership, healthcare management, quality and patient safety; with exciting new programmes in digital health, change, and empowering women leaders. We have an established record of developing leaders in Ireland, the Middle East and Africa, with the ambition to go further. We aim to offer the very best in healthcare management education to professionals and leaders wherever they are in the world, working across geographic and disciplinary boundaries to share learning for the betterment of health and well-being globally.
As a graduate school we challenge managers, clinicians, executives, policy makers and private sector leaders to engage with the latest ideas and practice. We are committed to research that expands understanding, drives learning and informs healthcare improvement.
Our research seeks to solve challenges and improve health systems for the benefit of human health. We conduct research on quality improvement and patient safety; the health and social care workforce; healthcare management; leadership; ageing research; and safety culture, including just culture. In our research, we use innovative research methodologies including co-design, realist and ethnographic methods, and we draw on implementation science, behaviour change and health economic frameworks. Our research is funded by organisations such as the Health Research Board (HRB), Research Ireland and the World Health Organisation (WHO).
