Mechanical Engineering Manager Job at Glasgow Full Time NEW

We’re recruiting on behalf of a major UK waste and resource management organisation operating a large portfolio of Energy from Waste facilities nationwide. With continued investment across their infrastructure, they are looking to appoint a Mechanical Engineering Manager to join their central engineering function.

This is a strategic, technically focused role with no direct reports, but full responsibility for driving mechanical reliability, performance and improvement projects across multiple operational EFW plants throughout the UK.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience delivering mechanical improvement projects within Energy from Waste environments
• Strong technical knowledge of boilers, turbines, rotating equipment and corrosion mitigation
• Proven background improving plant performance, reliability and operational efficiency
• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering
• Senior-level engineering capability with confidence influencing site leadership teams
• Full UK driving licence and comfortable with national travel / overnight stays
• Full right to work in the UK without sponsorship

Package:

• £70,000 – £94,000 basic salary
• Bonus up to 25%
• Company car or car allowance
• 25 days holiday + bank holidays
• Predominantly home-based with occasional UK site travel (typically 1-2 nights per week)
• Candidates can be based anywhere in the UK excluding Northern Ireland
