Our Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division is a fast-growing team dedicated to delivering planned, structured repairs and servicing directly to our members—right from their driveway to their workplace car park.
Your Role Awaits
As a Mobile Vehicle Technician, you’ll enjoy:
- Competitive Base Salary: Start with a base salary of £45,378 (inclusive of London Weighting Allowance, if applicable), with on-target earnings of up to £57,000.
Guaranteed Overtime: Increase your earnings with guaranteed overtime options and additional bonus opportunities.
Structured Work Hours: Enjoy a 40-hour work week with core hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, plus 1 in 4 Saturdays.
What to Expect
Your day begins with a clear digital schedule, where each job is pre-booked and the member is expecting you. You’ll carry out:
- Routine servicing
Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipmentIn-depth repairs typically done in a workshopMember advice and recommendations based on your inspectionVehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
With SMR, you’ll have the time, tools, and support to deliver quality work without the unpredictability of emergency callouts.

What You’ll Need
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- A Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehiclesA full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points
