Principle Management Accountant Job at Hove, East Sussex Full Time

An established organisation in the South East is seeking an experienced Principal Accountant to support its finance function on an interim basis for three months. This role will focus on delivering high-quality financial analysis, management reporting, and business partnering support across key service areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide robust management accounting and financial analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making
• Lead on budget monitoring, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Deliver variance analysis and clear financial commentary for senior stakeholders
• Support the development and improvement of reporting processes and financial controls
• Act as a business partner to budget holders and operational teams
• Contribute to financial planning and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial policies and governance requirements

Key Requirements

• Proven experience in a management accounting, finance analyst, or senior finance role
• Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely
• Prior experience in a public sector or large, complex organisation (desirable)
• Fully or part-qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred
• You must be immediately available for this role
