Job Description We have an exciting opportunity for an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor who will work on a portfolio of projects under the supervision of a Senior Quantity Surveyor to ensure that value for money is achieved alongside contractual compliance. You could have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects ranging in contractor value from £25,000 to £200,000, during your career at Thames Water.What you’ll be doing as an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor Supporting the Commercial Assurance of Major Projects and Programmes Contracts. Challenge and agreement of small to medium value project Tenders. Ensuring that payments are made on time and in accordance with the Contract for your given portfolio of Projects. Supporting the optimisation of budgets and spending on the portfolio of Projects. Data Collection of the relevant Contracts on the assigned portfolio. Auditing and agreeing on Project Accounts. Experience in commercially managing small projects both pre- and post-contract. Hold a degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent. Be aware of water regulation. (Be good at building and maintaining relationships. Hold a full UK Driving license and have your own transport. Competitive salary from £43,000 – £53,000 per annum, depending on experience. Annual Leave – 26 days holiday per year, increasing to 30 with the length of service. (plus bank holidays) Performance-related pay plan directly linked to company performance measures and targets.
