Data Scientist Location: UK / Europe (Mostly remote with some travel to London)Duration: Initial 6-12 month contractOutside IR35We’re supporting a leading global organisation undergoing a significant data and operational transformation programme. As the business continues to invest in advanced analytics, forecasting and AI readiness, they are seeking a Data Scientist with a strong mathematical background to help establish trusted, data-driven decision making across a large-scale international operation.This role would suit someone who has worked within complex global organisations and understands how to navigate multiple stakeholders, diverse data sources and large-scale operational environments. Beyond technical capability, we’re looking for someone who can confidently explain the logic behind their models and communicate complex concepts in a way that drives business confidence and adoption.Experience RequiredStrong academic background in Mathematics, Statistics, Operational Research, Data Science or a related quantitative disciplineExperience working within large, complex or global organisationsProven experience building predictive and forecasting models from multiple data sourcesStrong understanding of statistical modelling techniques and analytical methodologiesAbility to clearly articulate model outputs, assumptions and recommendations to business stakeholdersExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsExperience working with both structured and semi-structured dataDesirable ExperienceData Modelling (Conceptual, Logical and Physical)Data Architecture exposureForecasting, planning, scheduling or operational optimisation projectsExperience supporting organisations on their data maturity or AI readiness journey
