Quantity Surveyor Job at Chester Full Time NEW

We’re looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Lune Gorge project team.  In this role you’ll support the Lune Gorge project team in delivering commercial excellence.

Location: Nationwide – site based role, Tebay, Cumbria with some remote working available

Hours: Permanent Fulltime 45 hours – some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us

Salary: – £40,000 – £45,000 per year + £5k annual car allowance + benefits

What will you be responsible for?

As a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll play a vital role in managing costs, maximising value, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Your day to day will include:

• Managing commercial resources to maximise planned gross margin through effective contract control
• Producing and submitting valuations, claims, and contract performance data
• Monitoring and forecasting financial information for your work packages
• Assessing and mitigating commercial and contractual risks
• Maximising cash flow through control, measurement, and valuation of work

What are we looking for?

This role of Quantity Surveyor could be a great fit if you:

• Hold a relevant construction-related degree
• Have a full UK driving licence
• Bring previous experience in a commercial role for a contractor, within the transportation or construction sectors
• Are comfortable using MS Office, with strong Excel skills
• Communicate clearly and enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team
