Residential Support Worker – Sefton Pathway About the Role
As a Residential Support Worker at Bedspace, you’ll provide high‑quality support to young people as they work towards independence. You’ll play a key role in helping them develop the practical skills, confidence, and emotional resilience needed to live independently and thrive within their local community. Each day will bring new challenges and opportunities, but the overall goal remains the same — to empower young people to build positive, independent futures.
You’ll use our ASDAN modules to guide young people through key areas, including finance and budgeting, tenancy support, personal development, health and wellbeing, healthy eating, relationships, and culture. Your role will involve helping them develop essential life skills, encouraging independence, and supporting them through their day‑to‑day challenges.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance are essential. You will typically work around 10 shifts per month, with an annual salary of £34,375.24 inclusive of sleep‑in payments.
About You
You are empathetic, patient, and resilient, with a genuine passion for supporting young people. You have experience working with individuals who have complex emotional and social needs, including those affected by trauma, mental health issues, and challenging behaviours.
Your communication skills are strong, and you are comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Flexibility and a sense of humour are key, as you will need to adapt to changing situations while maintaining a positive and proactive approach.
