The Whisky Shop is seeking a Retail Manager to lead our iconic Bath store. This is an exciting role at the heart of the UK’s leading specialist whisky retailer. We are looking for a commercially minded manager who can drive sales, build meaningful relationships, and deliver a consistently high standard of in-store experience for our customers.Key Responsibilities – Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Bath store, ensuring a seamless, elevated customer journey at all times – Drive sales performance, profitability, and KPIs through clear commercial focus and leading by example. – Continuously manage, develop and inspire a high-performing team, ensuring excellence in customer service, product knowledge, and sales execution – Deliver a strong customer journey, including welcome, storytelling, upselling, and closing sales – Drive and grow in-store events, positioning the store as a top destination for whisky lovers, tourists and Loyalty programme Members. – Oversee high store standards, visual merchandising, and stock management in line with our brand expectations Skills and Experience – Minimum 3 years’ experience in a retail or hospitality management role – Natural salesperson with the ability to engage, upsell, and close across a diverse, high-value clientele – Credibility and confidence customer facing and hosting whisky tastings and events – Excellent communication skills across phone and email, with a focus on building long-term client relationships. – Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to business development – Passion for premium whisky and spirits, with a desire to create exceptional customer experiences If you think this sounds like you, and are ready to take ownership of one of our most iconic locations, we would like to hear from you.
