Are you ready to be part of a team that keeps the UK moving? As a Roadside Technician with a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and at least 2 years of experience, you’ll enjoy:
- A competitive base salary of £36,400 and a realistic OTE of £61,000, with top performers earning even more through bonuses and enhanced overtime rates.
Flexible working hours – Start and finish right from your driveway with demand-led shifts averaging 40 hours per week, plus optional overtime.
Where You’ll Work
You’ll be part of the Walsall cluster, covering areas like Walsall, Aldridge, Brownhills, Cannock, Lichfield, Burntwood, and Sutton Coldfield. We organize work locally, allowing you to focus on getting our members back on the road in your community.
Your Responsibilities
As a Roadside Technician within our Patrol division, you’ll:
- Deliver expert mechanical roadside repairs and vehicle diagnostics.
Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
Handle everything from flat batteries to complex fault-finding with confidence and speed.
You’ll start and end your day at home, tackling challenges head-on and making a real impact on the roadside. We’ll equip you for success from day one with your own RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic kit.
What You’ll Need
- A Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with at least 2 years of post-qualification technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience.
A customer-focused approach.
A full UK driving licence.
