About the Role:
Cover People are currently recruiting for a Science Teacher to join an oversubscribed, welcoming secondary academy (11–16) based in Bury, starting from September 2026 for a full term as a minimum.
This is an excellent opportunity for both Early Career Teachers and experienced educators to make a positive impact in a long-term role, delivering engaging Science lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils. ECTs will benefit from a supportive mentoring programme to help complete induction requirements, while experienced teachers will have the opportunity to contribute to a thriving and supportive department.
M1–M6 Teachers will be paid to scale from day one.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality Science teaching in line with national curriculum standards • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and GCSE Science • Monitor and assess pupil progress effectively • Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment • Support the academic and personal development of all learners
Requirements:
• QTS or equivalent UK teaching qualification • Experience teaching KS3 & GCSE Science • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills • A passion for teaching and pupil progress • Right to work in the UK
