A highly regarded and forward-thinking independent accountancy practice based in Brentwood is looking to recruit an ambitious Accounts Semi Senior to join its expanding team.

The firm acts for a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses, SMEs and entrepreneurial clients across a wide range of sectors, offering far more variety and responsibility than a typical accounts role.
The Role:
• Preparation of statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
• Assisting with management accounts preparation
• Preparation of VAT returns
• Bookkeeping duties using cloud-based software including Xero and QuickBooks
• Assisting senior staff with client portfolio management
• Liaising directly with clients on a day-to-day basis
• Supporting junior team members where required
• Exposure to a broad and varied client base across multiple sectors
The Candidate:
• Previous experience gained within an accountancy practice environment
• Experience preparing accounts and VAT returns
• Knowledge of cloud-based software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks
• AAT qualified or studying ACCA/ACA would be advantageous
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Keen to continue developing technically and professionally
