Do you have the patience and dedication to make a real difference in a child’s learning journey?The Head Teacher of a welcoming mainstream primary school in Skelmersdale is seeking three committed 3 SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team from January 2025. These roles are long term, term-time-only and offer the opportunity to provide tailored support to pupils with additional needs.We have three exciting SEN TA positions available:KS1 SEN TA – Supporting a child with medical needs in the Early Years Foundation Stage.Year 5 SEN TA – Working 1:1 with a child who has an EHCP for global developmental delay.Year 6 SEN TA – Delivering intervention support for a child to help close gaps in learning.As an SEN TA, you will work closely with class teachers and the school’s SEND team to provide personalised support, ensuring every child feels included and valued.Assist with the delivery of lessons and interventions in line with EHCP targets.Monitor and report on pupil progress and engagement.Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) – training available for those without this qualification.Experience supporting children with SEN in a UK classroom setting is desirable.Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children.Weekly pay at a competitive hourly rate.A supportive and welcoming school environment.Comprehensive induction and ongoing training opportunities.The chance to make a meaningful difference in children’s education and wellbeing.All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
