The Opportunity
We are partnering with a well-established organisation to recruit a Senior Accounts Assistant to join their busy and supportive finance team.
This role is offering a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working autonomously, taking ownership of their workload, and contributing to a high-performing finance function.
You will support the Financial Controller and wider team in delivering accurate and timely financial operations across multiple entities.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end payroll processing within a manufacturing environment
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns
- Managing petty cash
- Project invoicing, including reverse charge VAT
- Processing bank payments and completing reconciliations
- Supporting Purchase Ledger as required
- Producing financial reports and assisting with management reporting
- Supporting tax compliance, including overseas turnover reporting
- Managing multi-currency transactions across international entities
About You
- Previous experience in a similar Accounts Assistant role
- Strong knowledge of payroll, VAT, and bank reconciliations
- Experience handling multi-currency transactions
- Confident working independently and managing your own workload
- Strong Excel skills (particularly within manual VAT/tax processes)
- Experience with Sage 50 (desirable)
- AAT qualified or studying (advantageous)
