🚀 Senior Data Engineer (Databricks) – UK Remote + Some Travel

Are you a seasoned Data Engineer ready to take on high-impact, fast-paced projects?

We’re looking for a Senior / Principal Data Engineer with deep Databricks expertise to drive complex data initiatives across industries.

💡 What you’ll be doing

You’ll play a key role delivering cutting-edge data solutions, either independently or leading small teams on UK projects that move fast (typically 2–4 months).

Expect to:

• Design and build modern data platforms using Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog)
• Develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines on AWS/Azure
• Own or co-own client relationships and shape outcomes
• Lead data lakehouse implementations and cloud migrations
• Mentor engineers, support pre-sales, and contribute to growing a top-tier data team

🎯 What you bring

• 5+ years in Data Engineering (cloud-first: AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Strong hands-on Databricks experience (PySpark, SQL)
• Expertise in orchestration tools (Workflows, DLT, Airflow, ADF, Glue, Step Functions)
• Solid Python + SQL skills
• Experience with CI/CD and IaC (Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation)
• Exposure to BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
• A consulting mindset with strong stakeholder communication skills
