The Role

As a Senior Residential Care Practitioner, youll play a key role in delivering high-quality, therapeutic care while supporting and guiding your team on shift.You will:Lead shifts and support the day-to-day running of the homeProvide a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for young peopleSupport, mentor, and guide junior staff membersContribute to care planning and risk assessmentsBuild positive, trusting relationships with children and young peoplePromote independence, resilience, and emotional wellbeing

What Were Looking For

Minimum 1 years experience managing or leading a team within childrens residential careStrong knowledge of residential childcare practices and safeguardingRelevant childcare qualification (as per regulatory requirements)Full UK driving licence (essential)Passion, resilience, and a genuine commitment to improving young lives

Working Pattern:

This is a full-time role based on a structured rota:56.4 hours per week (including sleep-ins)Shift pattern: 08:00

11:00 (following day) with sleep-in and handover3-week rolling rota, averaging 10 shifts per monthIncludes training, meetings, and development hours (approx. 244.5 hours per month)
