They re now hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to work at the cutting edge of large-scale optimisation and algorithm design, directly impacting how thousands of physical retail spaces are planned. Responsibilities Partner directly with enterprise clients to understand complex planning needs and constraints Design and improve large-scale optimisation algorithms for real-world applications Evolve and extend an existing production system using JavaScript and Rust Prototype and introduce AI/ML approaches into optimisation workflows Contribute to solving a highly complex combinatorial optimisation problem Experience Strong grounding in algorithms and mathematics background Experience building or improving complex system logic or optimisation engines Comfortable in JavaScript and/or Rust (or happy to learn quickly) Confident in client-facing environments able to extract requirements and challenge assumptions What do you get in return?
