She experiences non-epileptic seizures, so strong awareness and attention to detail are essential.
The role involves encouraging independence, supporting daily routines, assisting with personal care, and accompanying her on community activities and outings. Support is usually provided as part of a two-person team, although there may be opportunities to work one-to-one during additional shifts. She lives at home with family, who are available for support if required. Driving will be needed for community trips, with mileage reimbursed.
Responsibilities Provide person-centred support to help develop independence and everyday life skills Assist with personal care and daily routines in a respectful and supportive manner Monitor and respond appropriately to non-epileptic seizures Support access to social and community activities Work collaboratively with another support worker as part of a small team Drive to activities and appointments when required Requirements Experience supporting individuals with autism and learning disabilities is desirable Calm, observant, and able to respond appropriately in situations involving seizures A compassionate, patient, and person-centred approach Confidence providing personal care Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Full UK driving licence and willingness to drive for outings and appointments Reliable, flexible, and committed to providing high-quality support Why Join Prosperity Care & Wellbeing?
