Community Activities Service Manager
37.5 hours per week to be worked flexibly.
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Service Manager to lead our Community Activities Day Cebtre in Carlisle, supporting adults with learning disabilities to live fulfilling, independent lives.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a social care professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for high-quality, person-centred support.
Location:
Carlisle (Cumbria) – Candidates must be able to reliably commute or relocate before starting.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring, high-quality care
Lead, supervise and develop staff, including performance management
Promote independence, choice and inclusion for adults with learning disabilities
Drive continuous improvement and contribute to service development
Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, CQC standards and organisational policies
Build positive relationships with families, carers and external professionals
What we’re looking for
Experience in adult social care, ideally within learning disabilities
Strong leadership and team-management skills
Knowledge of safeguarding, CQC requirements and person-centred practice
Level 4 Health & Socail Care qualification (or willingness to work towards)
Experience managing day services or community-based support
Confidence in service improvement and staff development
Additional:
Participation in an on-call rota is required
