Warehouse Manager

We are seeking a Warehouse Manager to lead and optimise our warehouse operations within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role is pivotal in ensuring efficient stock control, order fulfilment, and logistical efficiency, while maintaining compliance and driving operational excellence.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Oversee all warehouse activities, ensuring smooth receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
• Manage stock control processes to ensure inventory accuracy and minimise waste.
• Optimise warehouse layout and storage solutions for efficient picking and packing.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, food safety standards (BRC, HACCP), and industry best practices.
• Implement and maintain Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for real-time inventory tracking.
• Lead, motivate, and develop the warehouse team, fostering a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
• Work closely with the Transport team and third-party suppliers to ensure efficient dispatch and delivery of goods.
• Manage warehouse budgets and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in warehouse management, logistics, or stock control within food manufacturing, FMCG, or distribution.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and supply chain management.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP software for inventory tracking.
• Health & Safety certification (NEBOSH, IOSH) is desirable.
• Experience in managing warehouse teams, implementing KPIs, and driving efficiency.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations (BRC, HACCP) and health & safety compliance.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, working with internal teams and external partners.
