Senior IT Technician
Pattern of work: Full Time
Salary: £31,482 to £33,764 (Plus a new pay award coming in September)

Learning Partners are seeking to appoint a Senior IT Technician, responsible to assist in the support, management and maintenance of our school IT networks based in Guildford & Woking.
Although you will predominantly be working at two schools in Guildford and Woking (approximately 8 miles apart), you will need to be flexible in order to support IT requirements across our 18 schools.
Our school environment is caring and friendly, with a strong sense of community, and we are looking to add an additional Senior IT Technician to add to our growing team.
The successful candidate will support our staff and students as part of a team in two Secondary school’s across the Guildford and Woking area. The role will consist of providing high quality IT support supported as part of a wider team.
We have network staff across our Multi Academy Trust (Learning Partners) with group communications and regular meetings. This creates a community where we help each other resolve issues and work towards joint goals.
The successful candidate will be directly supported by the service desk, development teams and a Senior IT Technical Lead.
The role will have specific responsibilities:
· Resolve IT helpdesk tickets and assist staff and students with IT related queries.
· Support schools through the IT Development Plan
· Support, guide and train staff members in the use of ICT.
· Provide remote and onsite IT support across our schools to ensure the smooth running of school computer systems.
· Diagnose, repair and maintain hardware and software components to ensure the smooth running of school computer systems.
· Resolve IT helpdesk tickets and assist staff and students in person with IT related queries.
· Install and configure new IT equipment purchased from the school development plan.
· Manage school classroom equipment such as computers, audio/visual and classroom safety.
· Implement and support IT projects to improve school networks across the trust.
· Keep a tidy work environment.
· Manage and monitor systems for issues.
· Managing 3rd party providers for core equipment.
· Support Trust wide projects across our schools
The person appointed may not necessarily be familiar with all the areas listed above, but a willingness to learn and be proactive is essential.
