Purchase Ledger Clerk Job at York, North Yorkshire Full Time

We are currently seeking for a purchase ledger clerk to join a friendly finance team for a business in York on a 6 month fixed term contract basis. The company has a well-respected and trusted reputation and is a fast growing business.

About this role

• Paying invoices and credit notes in accordance with payment terms, also clearing debit balances and applying payments to invoices.
• Approving invoices.
• Ensure new and existing supplier accounts are set up correctly.
• Undertake appropriate supplier statement reconciliation.
• Process colleagues’ expenses and mileage claim and ensure payment in accordance with SLA.
• Ensure invoices are coded to the correct nominal ledger codes, cost centres and departments.
• Dealing with supplier’s enquiries, while supporting the purchase ledger manager to achieve the business goals and objectives.
