Junior People Partner (Southern Region) – Kids Planet Central SupportSouth East, UKJob DescriptionPosted Thursday 2 April 2026 at 00:00Kids Planet is an independent, family run group of nurseries providing the highest standard of nursery care across the UK.Job Title: Junior People PartnerReporting to: Regional People PartnerLocation: RegionalRole PurposeAs a Junior People Partner, you will play a vital role in supporting our Regional People Partner and Area Managers across the region. You will use people data and insights to drive informed decision-making, contribute to strategic initiatives, and ensure consistent and high-quality people practices across the organisation. This role is ideal for someone passionate about people, data, and continuous improvement within a growing business.Key ResponsibilitiesEffective Use of People DataAnalyse and interpret people data related to: Starters and leavers, Exit surveys, Sickness absence trends, My View data and Acquisition surveysSupport in identifying trends and areas for improvement across the employee lifecycle.Partner with Area Managers to deliver actionable people insights in areas such as: Operational efficiency, NOC (Nursery of concern) and Colleague engagement and retentionProvide regular reporting to inform regional strategy and decision-making.Take the lead in managing complex employee relations cases that pose potential risk to the business, including those involving: Protected characteristics, Safeguarding concerns and Criminal mattersEnsure all cases are handled in line with company policy and employment law.Coach and support Area Managers in: conducting high-quality performance conversations and developing and implementing effective Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs)Review and provide feedback on PIP documentation to ensure consistency and qualitySignpost relevant training and development opportunitiesMonitor and support both informal support plans and formal PIPsAct as a point of contact for newly acquired settings joining the Kids Planet groupContribute to induction and onboarding processesSupport initial data capture and onboarding via DayforceWork with the People Partner to identify non-standard roles and contract anomalies and align terms where possible to standard Kids Planet policiesSupport with TUPE processesKey Skills & ExperiencePrevious HR or People Team experience, preferably in a multi-site environmentStrong understanding of employee relations and UK employment lawConfident using people data to drive insights and decisionsAbility to build strong relationships and coach managersComfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentProficient in HR systems and data reportingCIPD Level 5 or willing to work towardsPerson specificationResilient and solution-focusedProactive and self-motivatedCommitted to continuous improvementCollaborative team player with a flexible approachExcellent problem solving skillsAbility to work independentlyAbility to communicate effectivelyProactive reliable and flexibleWilling and able to travel across the region with occasional overnight staysFull UK driving licence and access to a vehicleKids Planet is committed to equal opportunities for all.
