Our innovative X-ray imaging solutions enable customers to detect threats, combat illegal activity, and maintain secure operations with confidence.The RoleReporting to the Operations Director, this position plays a key role in driving manufacturing efficiency and supporting the continuous improvement of production operations. You will act as a change agent within the manufacturing team, leading initiatives to improve processes, introduce new products, and enhance facility layout and performance.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport day-to-day production activities including troubleshooting and improvement plansLead Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) reviewsAnalyse downtime and implement improvements to quality and efficiencyEvaluate production flow and identify bottlenecksSupport new product introductions (NPI)Improve shop floor layouts and space utilisationCollaborate cross-functionally on improvementsMaintain and standardise documentation and SOPsConduct risk assessments and ensure safety complianceSupport quality assurance and investigate failuresAssist with material flow and presentationKey Skills & ExperienceExperience in a volume manufacturing environmentHands-on approach and ability to support teams on the shop floorExperience in new product introductionStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsKnowledge of lean manufacturing tools (5S, Six Sigma, Kaizen)Understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, assembly, automation)Experience with root cause analysis toolsFamiliarity with quality standards (ISO 9001, etc.)Understanding of material flow and schedulingKnowledge of health & safety practicesQualificationsDegree in a relevant engineering or technical disciplineVisa & SponsorshipPlease note that Rapiscan Systems is currently unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
