Accounts Assistant Job at Haywards Heath, West Sussex Full Time

Reed Accountancy are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join our well-established client’s finance team, initially on an ongoing temporary basis however this could well become permanent for the right person.

This is a varied, reconciliation-focused position supporting day-to-day finance operations and the preparation for management accounts across the wider department.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Reconciliation of various bank accounts, receipts, credit cards and income across multiple companies.
• Pay suppliers, raise sales invoices and reconcile accruals and prepayment schedules.
• Prepare and process monthly journals.
• Managing accounts payable and expenses.
• Support credit control, including producing aged debtor reports.
• Support with producing the monthly management accounts information for review by the Management Accountant.
• Assist with preparing VAT returns.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in finance and reconciliations.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and familiarity with accounting software like Xero would be highly advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks concurrently.

This is an office-based role with plenty of free parking on site.
