Senior Accountant up to £45,000

Keeler Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a progressive and growing professional services business in the recruitment of a Senior Accountant to join their established team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice professional looking to take ownership of a varied client portfolio while working within a collaborative and forward thinking environment. The role offers exposure to a broad range of accounting and advisory work, alongside the opportunity to mentor junior team members and build long term client relationships.

Working closely with senior management, you will be responsible for delivering high quality accounting and compliance services to a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing and reviewing annual accounts and corporation tax returns
• Preparing personal tax returns and VAT returns
• Supporting bookkeeping and maintaining accurate financial records
• Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact
• Responding to client queries and providing proactive support
• Assisting with the development and mentoring of junior colleagues
• Supporting new client onboarding and continuous process improvements
• Working collaboratively across wider finance and business support teams

About you

• Previous experience within an accountancy practice environment
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise workload effectively
• Confident communicator with excellent client relationship skills
• A proactive approach and desire to contribute to a collaborative team culture
