The Role

A secondary school in Walsall is seeking a reliable and proactive IT Technician to join their team immediately on a long-term supply basis. The role involves providing day-to-day technical support across the school, ensuring that all IT systems, hardware, and software run smoothly. You will support staff and students with technical issues, maintain equipment, and assist with the setup of IT resources across classrooms and offices. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing user accounts, supporting network systems, and ensuring all equipment is safe and fully operational.

The Candidate

• Have experience working in an IT support or technician role (school experience desirable)
• Possess strong knowledge of hardware, software, and basic networking
• Be confident troubleshooting and resolving technical issues efficiently
• Demonstrate strong organisational and communication skills
• Be proactive, reliable, and able to work independently
