Management Accountant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Management Accountant to join a leading manufacturing business based in the Ayrshire area. The Role
Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality financial reporting, commercial insight, and operational analysis to support business performance across the manufacturing operation.
This is a varied and hands-on role suited to a commercially minded accountant with strong analytical capability and the confidence to work closely with operational stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts and associated reporting packs
• Variance analysis and performance reporting to support key business decisions
• Budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
• Providing meaningful financial analysis to support operational and commercial performance
• Supporting month-end and year-end processes
• Partnering with operational teams to improve cost control and financial understanding
• Balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining financial accuracy
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes and reporting

We are keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:

• Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar finance role
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
• Experience within a manufacturing environment would be highly advantageous
• Knowledge of costing and inventory accounting would be a distinct advantage
• Strong Excel and systems capability
• A proactive and collaborative approach with the ability to influence stakeholders across the business
• Professionally qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ICAS) or qualified by experience (QBE) candidates will be considered
