Payroll, Pensions & Onboarding Manager Job at Surrey Full Time NEW

Location: Hybrid working, based near Addlestone with travel to sites as required.

Contract: Temporary assignment while a permanent appointment is recruited.

Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 FTE (or equivalent hourly), depending on experience.

Start Date: ASAP

The Opportunity

A growing multi-site organisation is seeking an experienced Payroll, Pensions & Onboarding Manager to support payroll operations during a period of expansion.

This is a varied role combining payroll oversight, pensions administration, stakeholder support and the onboarding of new sites. An immediate start is available to allow for a full handover, with potential opportunity to be considered for a permanent role.

Key ResponsibilitiesPayroll

• Oversee payroll operations across multiple sites.
• Manage payroll for the central team.
• Act as the escalation point for payroll queries.
• Liaise with external payroll providers.
• Provide payroll support and cover where required.
• Ensure payroll deadlines and compliance requirements are met.

Pensions

• Manage relationships with Pension and Local Government Pension Schemes.
• Coordinate pension submissions and reporting.
• Respond to pension-related queries.
• Ensure compliance with pension regulations.

Onboarding & Support

• Support the onboarding of new sites.
• Gather and validate payroll and employee data.
• Manage initial payroll setup and implementation.
• Train and support local payroll and HR teams.
• Travel to sites when required.

Essential Experience

• Proven end-to-end payroll experience.
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance.
• Good understanding of pensions administration.
• Experience working with payroll providers and systems.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Desirable Experience

• Multi-site or multi-entity payroll experience.
• Knowledge of Pension and Local Government Pension Schemes.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Experience delivering training and user support.
