- Applicants must have completed their education in the UK.
- Applicants must hold a degree in Biology or a closely related subject (e.g. Biomedical Sciences, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Human Biology, Natural Sciences), or be currently studying towards one.
- Qualified teachers are strongly preferred.
What You’ll Do
✔ Deliver engaging 1-to-1 online A-Level Biology lessons
✔ Provide structured, exam-focused teaching tailored to each student’s needs
✔ Support students with challenging topics such as genetics, physiology, ecology, immunity, and cellular biology
✔ Assign and review homework, exam questions, and past papers to monitor progress
✔ Break down complex biological concepts into clear, understandable explanations
✔ Develop students’ confidence in data interpretation, practical-based questions, and extended responses
✔ Help students improve exam technique and maximise their grades
What We’re Looking For
✅ Strong academic background in A-Level Biology
✅ Qualified teacher status preferred, although experienced tutors will also be considered
✅ Degree in Biology or a closely related field (or currently studying towards one)
✅ Previous tutoring or teaching experience preferred
✅ Excellent communication skills and a patient, supportive teaching style
✅ Ability to explain topics such as genetics, cell biology, physiology, ecology, evolution, and biochemistry in an accessible way
✅ Confidence in guiding students through application-style questions and mark scheme interpretation
✅ Ability to create an engaging and motivating online learning environment
✅ Reliable internet connection and familiarity with online teaching platforms
✅ Must be based in the UK and have the right to work in the UK
💬 Desirable
- Ability to also tutor GCSE Science
- Ability to tutor A-Level Chemistry
- Experience preparing students for AQA, OCR, Edexcel, or other UK examination boards
