Accounts Payable Assistant

We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join a busy and established finance team based in Purfleet. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is immediately available and looking to secure a role where they can make an instant impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Processing high volumes of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
• Matching, batching, and coding invoices
• Reconciling supplier statements and resolving any discrepancies
• Preparing payment runs
• Liaising with suppliers to handle queries and maintain strong relationships
• Assisting with month-end processes
• Supporting the wider finance team with ad-hoc duties

Requirements:

• Previous experience within an Accounts Payable / Purchase Ledger role
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
• Confident communicator, both written and verbal
• Good working knowledge of Excel and finance systems
• Must be immediately available or available at short notice
