Finance Assistant – Accounts Receivable Job at London Full Time NEW

We’re partnering with a premium retail brand known for its exceptional customer experience, high-quality products, and strong international presence. Due to continued growth and an upcoming project within the finance team, they are looking to appoint an experienced Accounts Receivable professional on a 6–12 month contract basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced, collaborative finance function within a highly recognisable retail environment.

The Role

Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will take ownership of the Accounts Receivable process, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debt, accurate allocation of cash, and maintaining strong relationships across the business and with external customers.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing the end-to-end Accounts Receivable process
• Chasing outstanding debt and reducing aged debt balances
• Allocating incoming payments and reconciling customer accounts
• Raising invoices and credit notes accurately and efficiently
• Investigating and resolving invoice and payment queries
• Supporting month-end reporting and reconciliations
• Working closely with internal stakeholders across finance and operations
• Assisting with process improvements and ad hoc finance projects

About you

The successful candidate will have previous Accounts Receivable or Credit Control experience, ideally gained within a retail, consumer, or fast-moving environment.

You will also demonstrate:

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
• A proactive and hands-on approach
• Good Excel skills and confidence working with finance systems
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Experience within retail, ecommerce, fashion, or luxury consumer brands would be highly advantageous.
