The Finance Manager will oversee financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance within the industrial and manufacturing industry. This role is based in Coventry and requires expertise in accounting and finance processes.

Description

• Prepare and manage financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support business decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and audit readiness
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals, prepayments, and journal postings
• Full ownership of VAT across the business, including preparation, review, and submission of VAT returns
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Produce and analyse financial reports, highlighting variances, risks, and opportunities
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Manage financial audits and liaise with external auditors when required.
• Monitor cash flow, ensuring the organisation’s financial stability.
• Provide strategic financial insights to improve business performance.
• Lead and mentor a small finance team to achieve departmental goals.

Profile

A successful Finance Manager should have:

• A recognised qualification or part-qualified in accounting or finance (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
• Experience in financial management within the industrial or manufacturing sector.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in financial software – Dynamics 365 Business Central and reporting tools.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to manage and develop a team effectively.
