Occupational Therapist (Dimentia) – Antrim Vanrath are delighted to be partnering with HSCNI to recruit on their behalf a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join their community team. In this role you will provide a comprehensive occupational therapy service within a variety of community settings for adults who have a diagnosis of dementia. Main responsibilities will include:
To carry a specific caseload to include complex clients with dementia and be responsible for organising and prioritising a varied workload To assist Principal Occupational Therapist with the system for screening, prioritisation and allocation of cases within an agreed framework to include self allocation and discharge planning. To carry out and record comprehensive assessments, using standardised assessments where possible. Initiate and follow through training, treatment plans and provision of services, which will foster independence and/or optimize levels of functioning, and holistic needs within the clients own environment.
Maintain accurate records and participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss patient progress and outcomes. Communicate effectively with patients and ensure there is an understanding of their condition.
Essential Criteria :
Occupational Therapy Degree (UK recognised) HCPC Registered Member of RCOT or Unison Previous 2 years minimum OT experience Why choose Vanrath:
