Job description

The Doctoral and Researcher College acts as a centre for all doctoral level activity at the University as well as providing support and training for doctoral (PGR) students. Within the Doctoral and Researcher College, the School Support Team provides a support service to School Directors of PGR Studies and the current PGR students in schools and departments. We are looking for a competent and professional administrator to join this busy team.
You will work as part of a team of Postgraduate Research Administrators to support PGR administration, providing high quality support and advice to School Directors of PGR Studies, prospective and current postgraduate research students, supervisors and other staff, contributing more widely to the success of PGR Programmes across the University.
You will have:
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Significant IT experience and skills (specifically Microsoft Office software such as word, excel and outlook)
- Ability to provide a high standard of customer service
- Ability to maintain accurate and comprehensive records
- Ability to prioritise work with competing and set deadlines
- Ability to provide pastoral support to PGR students
- Recent experience of working as an administrator in a busy office environment

Interviews will be held: 11th June 2026. The interview will include an interview with the panel followed by a brief meeting with the team on the day of the interview.
