Purchase Ledger Clerk Job at Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire Full Time

Elevation Recruitment Group are supporting our client in Cleckheaton to recruit an organised and detail-focused Purchase Ledger Clerk on a temporary to permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy finance team and support essential transactional processes within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sorting, verifying, posting and filing both PO and Non-PO invoices across multiple entities/countries
• Reconciling Statements of Account and requesting copy invoices where required
• Reconciling inbound goods through the ERP system and chasing outstanding invoices
• Matching AP balances against the General Ledger
• Investigating and resolving invoice/payment queries with internal and external stakeholders
• Supporting internal and external audits by providing relevant information
• Preparing payment runs as directed by the Accounts Payable Manager or Financial Controller
• Assisting with additional ad hoc finance tasks as needed

Experience & Skills Required:

• Previous Accounts Payable experience preferred but not essential
• Ability to learn and adapt to new systems and processes
• Experience using SAP or similar ERP system is advantageous
• Strong communication skills, confident liaising at all levels internally and externally
• Effective problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Additional language skills desirable
