ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Bank Residential Senior Carer at a Barchester care home, you’ll look after the different needs of our residents to enable us to deliver quality, person-centred care and support. You will be responsible for leading a team of care staff, which will include training, supervisions and delegating duties on shift. You will also support with the administering and ordering of medication, reviewing and updating resident care plans and risk assessment, and liaising with GP’s, district nursing teams and resident family members.
Like everyone here, as a Residential Senior Care Assistant, you’ll always respect the dignity and preferences of our residents as well playing your own part in creating an environment that’s warm, welcoming and vibrant.
ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will have NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care to join us as a Residential Senior Care Assistant. You will have previous experience in a residential care setting along with proven team leadership skills and the ability to make appropriate decisions to support the needs and wellbeing of our Residents. We’re looking for people who are warm-hearted, compassionate and committed to giving each resident individualised care and support.
You’ll have the opportunity to develop your career through ongoing training opportunities, so there’s no limit to how far you can go with us. Many of our Senior Carer Assistants progress into Care Practitioners, Care Community Leads or on to nursing pathways.
As this is a Bank position to provide cover as and when we need it, such as for annual leave or sick leave, the hours and days you work will vary.
