Role: Senior Commercial Solicitor

Location: Central London

Hybrid Working: 3 in office days

About the Role

This position plays an important role in supporting the organisation’s strategic objectives by delivering commercially focused legal advice and guidance across a wide range of corporate and commercial matters. Working closely with the Head of Commercial, Legal, and the wider legal leadership team, you will provide practical, solutions-driven legal support to stakeholders across the business. The role offers exposure to a broad variety of legal matters, requiring a proactive approach to identifying and managing legal risk while helping internal teams achieve their commercial goals. You will build strong relationships with senior stakeholders throughout the organisation, contributing to the continued development of a responsive and business-oriented in-house legal function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide commercially focused legal advice across commercial contracts, corporate matters, and regulatory issues.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to support strategic projects and business initiatives.
• Identify and manage legal and regulatory risks, delivering practical solutions.
• Communicate complex legal matters clearly and effectively to non-legal audiences.
• Develop and maintain legal templates, precedents, and guidance materials.
• Manage multiple priorities while ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.
• Instruct and oversee external legal advisers where specialist support is required.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and development of the Legal function.
• Promote a collaborative, transparent, and risk-aware culture across the organisation.

Additional Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor or Barrister currently practicing in the UK with strong generalist legal expertise, with experience advising on commercial contracts, corporate matters, and regulatory issues.
• Experience gained in private practice, in-house, or a combination of both, supporting businesses across a broad range of legal and commercial matters.
