Finance Assistant (30hours) Job at Hull, North Humberside Full Time NEW

This is a hands-on, varied position where you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day finance operations while also supporting the wider team when needed.

You’ll be joining a fast-paced environment, so organisation, flexibility, and a proactive approach are essential.

• Hours: 30 hours per week (weekday working)
• Pay: £13.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Processing invoices, purchase orders, and financial transactions
• Managing accounts payable and receivable
• Completing bank reconciliations and accurate data entry
• Assisting with payroll and finance reporting
• Maintaining organised and compliant financial records
• Providing general administrative support to the team
• Supporting operational tasks including stock and deliveries when required

About You

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, detail-focused, and happy to take a hands-on approach:

• Previous experience in a finance / accounts assistant role (essential)
• Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail
• Confident using Microsoft Excel and Office systems
• Able to work independently and within a team
• Flexible, adaptable, and willing to support across the business
• Physically capable of occasional manual tasks (incl. lifting)
• Strong communication and time management skills
